Joujouthèque La Pêche Toy Library
  • Join Us

Joujouthèque La Pêche Toy Library depends on donations of toys and on paid memberships to purchase and repair toys, and to maintain the toy library space.

How can I become a member?

    • All users of Cabane à Jeux must register to borrow toys – see a volunteer at the Toy Library!
    • Annual membership fee is $25 per family (regardless of the size of your family)
    • Grandparent & seasonal memberships are available at a reduced rate

What are the benefits of joining?

    1. Borrowing privileges of more than 250 toys and games for a whole year!
    2. Playgroups are free but supporting Cabane à Jeux’s toy library means we have more to offer at playgroup including access to the toys, space, coffee etc.
    3. Member families enjoy reduced rates on some of our monthly events such as felting, art for little ones, and field trips where we need to charge a participation fees.
    4. …and you are helping Cabane à Jeux keep going!

    Volunteer with us!

There are lots of opportunities to get involved for parents, older children, homeschoolers, seniors… Some of the jobs we have:

    • Toy Librarians – running a playgroup/toy lending session (Thursday and some Saturday mornings)  - involves just 2 hours a month
    • Organizers – of monthly events, field trips, annual toy drives…
    • Toykeepers – inspect, test, clean, sort toys, recommend changes to the toy collection
    • Marketing and Computer work – promotion, designing flyers, inventory, accounting…

To talk about volunteering, please contact us at info@cabaneajeux.com.

    Donations

Thanks to toy donors from all over La Pêche who came out to our August 2008 Toy Drive and many who have dropped toys off year round. You helped make this possible! Donations of gently used, safe, quality toys are always welcome to help expand the toy and game collection. We will also lend baby gear and sports equipment, space permitting or arrange for them to find a home with our local second-hand stores and charitable organizations. Kindly bring them inside the basement during regular library openings (every Thursday & second Saturday of each month 9:30 – 11am). For more information on our toy collection, go to  Joujouthèque / Toy Library.
