Playgroups
Playgroups are a great way to start getting your child used to interacting with other children and for you both to get out of the house and meet other families!
When and where?
Thursdays 9:30am – 11:00am during toy lending time
Church of the Good Shepherd (side door)
693 Riverside Rd., Wakefield QCParking is possible in the driveway and on the street in front of the church.
Who is playgroup for?
Parents and caregivers come together with their children and supervise their own children.
The children at playgroup are typically 0 – 5 years old.
What happens at playgroup?
Carpets are rolled out to make a soft space for babies and toddlers to move around on, while older children might use riding toys, games and other toy library articles for more active play.
A craft table is available for quiet activity and we supply paper and crayons, stamping, play-do, weaving and other easy to do craft materials.
You can bring your child’s snacks for a sit-down snack time with other children, while you enjoy a coffee from our kitchen. Kitchen and bathroom facilities are available to help with your childcare.
The rest is playtime! We do not have planned circle times but if parents would like to share a few stories or songs from home it would add to the fun!
